Shoe review: Saucony Fastwitch4

I was debating between buying Saucony's Fastwitch4's or their lighter A3 shoes. The store I tried them on at didn't carry the A3, so I wouldn't be able to try them on before ordering, but they had the Fastwitch4's. The one thing that concerns me especially with racing flats is the width of my feet. I don't wear wides, but I'm almost right on the border. So sizing would have been tricky. When I tried them on and got on the treadmill at the store, the fit was awesome, they had a decent amount of support and were light.

I've had these for about a week or two but I finally decided to lace these up for my fun run yesterday. They're a couple of ounces heavier than my old racing flats-- the Adidas Adizero Rc (in red and black) , and have a decent amount of stability. I've actually heard of people running marathons in these, something I wouldn't even dream of doing in my Adidas flats.

This is the first time I've run in Saucony but I'm pleased. But then again, since they're selling shoes for a couple of years and they only do running stuff, they must be doing something right. I'm running in Saucony because my racing team is sponsored by them, so there's a pretty decent discount.

This is the first time in a while that I've changed shoe brands for my trainers.  I used to train in Brooks Adrenaline GTS (first 8, 9, and  now 10), but this has enough stability I can use these as a trainer. Also these bright yellow shoes have a pretty flexible fore/midfoot sole, so they're pretty comfortable for me, because I don't healstrike at all.
